The Causality Assessment for Landscape Interventions (CALI) provides a system-informed, thoroughly participatory approach for these initiatives to investigate the validity of their Theory of Change and increase their chances of success. The assessment, recommended at project start and one or more times throughout implementation, results in concrete adjustments to key project planning documents, including ToC, strategy and results framework. Over time, CALI will also promote learning and sharing of best practices across sites.
